Operis has appointed Michael Jarman as its new Head of Model Development with immediate effect.
Michael is now responsible for overseeing and growing the Company’s financial modelling business. He reports to the Head of Advisory, Erwan Fournis, as we see increasing growth in the financial advisory and modelling practices. Michael will ensure that Operis both maintains and extends its position in the market at the forefront of technical excellence in modelling, pushing the envelope as to the complexity of the models that Operis can build, as well as leading the development of proprietary software to assist Operis in building models better than ever before. Michael will therefore further improve the efficiency, quality and speed of Operis models that our clients have already come to know us for.
Since moving to the Toronto office in 2017, he has gained a deep understanding of the North American market, providing financial advisory services on several transactions. In 2018, Michael became the youngest winner of the Financial Modelling World Championship. He continues to take part in the revamped competition, both as a contestant and a question contributor. Earlier this year, he was also awarded the title of Financial Modeller of the Year at the 2021 Financial Modelling Summit.
