Octopus Investments has expanded their solar portfolio by adding 100MW of UK solar assets. Earlier this year, Octopus closed a £484 million refinancing of its 522MW solar portfolio in the UK, the largest solar portfolio in Europe.
The £80 million in new funding has been approved by the banks that are already part of the syndicate financing the portfolio, increasing their solar financing to £564 million. The syndicate consists of nine lenders Banca IMI, Barclays, BNP Paribas, CaixaBank, The Royal Bank of Scotland, SMBC, AIB, Sabadell and Santander Global Corporate Banking.
On behalf of the senior lenders and Octopus, Operis was delighted to carry out a financial model audit, which included a full review of the model’s tax and accounting treatments.
