A Bird-Kiewit led consortium submitted a bid for the Kipling Bus Terminal project on October 12th, 2017. This project is part of the Regional Express Rail (RER) program being procured in the Greater Toronto Area by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario under the design-build-finance P3 model.
The project involves the renovation and expansion of the existing Kipling GO station as well as a new bus terminal, service building, underground tunnel and elevated pedestrian bridge. The redevelopment of the area will integrate the TTC subway, GO Transit regional rail and regional bus services into a single mobility hub along this busy rail corridor.
Having worked on several RER bids with Bird and Kiewit recently, including the Highway 401 rail tunnel and Stouffville station, Operis is delighted to have provided model due diligence for Bird and Kiewit and further our record in the RER program.
