The Montérégie Wind Farm project reached financial close on 28th November 2011. The Project involves the construction of a 100 MW wind farm in the Montérégie region of south-west Quebec, Canada. The Project’s 44 wind turbines will span five municipalities, namely Mercier, Saint-Constant, Saint-Isidore, Saint-Michel and Saint-Rémi. The power produced will be sold under a 20 year power purchase agreement with Hydro Quebec similar to the agreement between Hydro Quebec and Enerfin for the L’Erable Wind Farm project, a project Operis was also involved in.
Operis reviewed the financial model built by Deutsche Bank in New York, who were also the lenders in the project.
