Bids were submitted to the Texas Department of Transportation for the replacement of the US-181 Harbor Bridge between the Nueces Bay Causeway and State Highway 286 in Texas on April 7, 2015.
Whilst improving connectivity to local roadways, the proposed replacement bridge will also address safety concerns and increase capacity to help meet increasing traffic demand. The bridge’s existing structure also has deficiencies including high maintenance costs and navigational restrictions.
