On December 30, 2019, Lightsource BP reached financial close on the financing of a 254MW solar portfolio located in Almochuel, Spain. The solar energy plants are expected to be operational by the end of 2020. The solar plants do not rely on government subsidies for their electricity sales and instead, there will be a power purchase agreement in place for the early years of operations.

Operis provided a financial model audit for the project for Lightsource BP and the senior lenders.
