North Lincolnshire Council and infrastructure services company May Gurney reached financial close on a £90m Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme on 21 July 2009. Brumby Engineering College and Mellior College will be the first two schools to be developed under the scheme, with a combined investment of £38m in building work and ICT facilities.
May Gurney’s shareholding in the Local Education Partnership (LEP) is 41.6%, with Mass and NPS making up the remainder of the 80% private sector ownership. North Lincolnshire Council and Building Schools for the Future Investments LLP (BSFi) each invest 10%.
