Scotland’s Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary reached financial close on March 11, 2015.
The Royal Infirmary, which originally opened in the 1970s, is being replaced with a 350 bed building situated on a new site on the outskirts of Dumfries, Scotland.
The £220 million project plans to begin its three year construction in March 2015 and will be run for 25 years under the non-profit distributing model, Scotland’s alternative to PFI which restricts the profits made by the private sector. The project is financed by EIB and Aviva.
Operis has provided financial model due diligence services as part of the financial close process on behalf of the lenders and Highwood Health Consortium, comprising of Laing O’Rourke and Aberdeen Infrastructure Investments. Operis had also provided financial model due diligence services to the consortium at the bid stage.
