The acquisition by Antin Infrastructure of BG Group’s 62% equity stake in the Central Area Transmission System (CATS) was announced on June 17, 2014.

The development of the CATS has been one of the most significant events in the development of the United Kingdom’s natural gas industry.  CATS, a combination of pipeline and processing facilities operated by BP, transports and processes gas on behalf its customers who are seeking to develop new oil and gas reserves.

Interestingly, the pipeline handles more than 48 million standard cubic meters of natural gas per day coming in from the North Sea.

To support Antin Infrastructure’s acquisition, Operis were pleased to undertake a full model audit.
