Minera Centinela secures $2.5 billion for the Centinela mine expansion project. The expansion aims to increase the capacity of the existing copper and molybdenum activities at the mine in the Antofagasta region of northern Chile, by establishing a second concentrator plant.

The debt tenure is approximately 12 years, with drawdowns scheduled over the first four years.

Minera Centinela, the mine’s sole proprietor, is further owned by Antofagasta (70%) and Marubeni Corporation (30%).

We’re pleased to have provided model audit services for this transaction and extend congratulations to all parties involved in the successful completion of this deal.
