David Colver co-founded Operis in 1990, and has at different times, been engaged in every aspect of the activities of the firm as it has grown. He now serves as its CEO and Chief Technology Officer.

He had previously spent nine years at NM Rothschild, working initially in advising on project finance transactions in the oil & gas and mining sectors, and later on a number of the privatisations of large utilities in the UK and abroad in which that bank had prominent advisory roles. He then sought experience of strategy consulting with Strategic Planning Associates, a Washington-based firm that is now part of Oliver Wyman, as a valuable preparation for establishing Operis.

David holds a degree in Computer Science from Christ’s College, Cambridge, and has completed the Corporate Finance Programme of the London Business School and Owner-President Management Programme of Harvard Business School.
