The Walloon Lighting PPP reached financial close on 13 February 2019. The project involves the replacement and ongoing maintenance of public lighting across the Walloon region of Belgium, with the aim of improving road safety and energy efficiency and reducing light pollution.
The project equity investors are a consortium of CFE, DIF and EDF, and senior debt is being provided by BBVA, Belfius Bank, BNP Paribas, KBC Bank, Societe Generale and SMBC.
Operis carried out a financial model audit on behalf of the equity investors and senior lenders.
