DIF Infrastructure IV today confirmed a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with SSE plc to acquire a 100% interest in three UK PFI streetlighting projects. These projects are located in Leeds, Newcastle / North Tyneside and Stoke-on-Trent.
All projects are availability based and have been operating for at least 5 years. SSE will continue to act as the operator under a long term contract with the project companies.
Operis acted as financial advisor to DIF, providing structuring and financial modelling support. Following signature of the SPA, the UK PFI streetlighting projects will seek to gain all necessary approvals and move to financial close.
