Operis was pleased to provide formal model audit services on the financial model prepared by Amberside in support of the energy from waste project in Stoke-on-Trent. The Stoke Clinical Waste EFW plant is developed by WEPP and funded solely by equity from Equitix.
The development of the new facility is currently underway and is expected to reach completed in the latter half of 2021. Upon full commencement of operations, the plant will help provide a disposal solution for healthcare services in the area, with the capacity to treat 16,000 tons of waste each year.
This project marks the second collaboration in quick succession between WEPP and Equitix, who assumed the same roles in late 2019 for the development of a similar facility in Malvern with a capacity of 8,000 tons of waste per year.
