On May 5, 2014, the sky-ways consortium of T-Systems and Strabag was awarded preferred bidder status for the electronic truck toll concession in Belgium aimed at tolling trucks that weigh up to 3.5 tonnes.
Installation of the system, its trial operation and implementation are scheduled for an 18 month period beginning in July 2014. Tolling is scheduled to start in 2016.
Operis is pleased to be involved in the transaction supporting the consortium as a financial advisor. This has involved helping to structure the financing of the project and financial modelling throughout bid submission stage and moving towards financial close.
