The Skanska consortium has been selected as the preferred bidder on the Rv3 / Rv25 Ommansvollen – Grundset/Basthjørnet Road PPP Project in Norway.
The project consists of a 26-kilometre long greenfield upgrade to the existing Rv3 and Rv25 roads, which follows a new alignment located close to the existing highway corridor. The site is approximately 150 km north of Oslo and provides a new route bypassing the built-up areas of Elverum and Løten.
The planned road will form part of the shortest and fastest road connection between Oslo and Trondheim, and forms a key part of the National Transport Plan developed by the Norwegian Government for the period 2014-2023. The project also includes the construction and handover of a control station at Ånestad, along with selected side roads, private roads, cycleways and footways.
Operis is the financial advisor to Skanska, who were one of the three consortia invited to submit final bids for the project by Statens vegvesen, the Norwegian public roads authority. Skanska will now finalise funding arrangements for the project which aims to reach commercial and financial close before the end of May 2018.
