Viridis, a consortium of Equitix, GRAHAM and Derwent FM, has been selected as preferred bidder for the redevelopment of the University of Manchester’s Fallowfield Campus.
Operis is pleased to have provided the financial and accounting advice to the consortium throughout the competitive tendering process run by the University of Manchester, and will continue to support the consortium through to financial close which is planned for summer 2025.
The project, approved by Manchester City Council in January 2024, includes redeveloping Owens Parks, Oak House and Woolton Hall to deliver over 3,300 bedrooms to meet the University’s growing demand across its main residential campus. The redevelopment will be delivered in multiple phases to increase the supply of modern, purpose-built student accommodation and social areas for students.
Dominic Waters, Associate Director, said: “We are delighted to have supported the Viridis consortium on this exciting and significant project with the University of Manchester. We look forward to helping deliver this high quality redevelopment of the Fallowfield campus for generations of students to come.”
