The preferred proponent was announced on May 2, 2014 for the Capital Regional District’s Wastewater Treatment Plant at McLoughlin Point, in British Columbia, Canada.
Harbour Resource Partners, a consortium of Graham and AECOM, was the successful bidder in the contract to design, build and partially finance the facility.
The procuring authority, the Seaterra Commission of British Columbia, received three competing proposals in March this year.
The McLoughlin Point project will involve the design, build and short-term financing of a wastewater treatment plant facility, capable of processing 108 million litres per day.
Operis was pleased to be involved in the transaction by supporting the consortium as its financial advisor which included helping to structure the project, assisting with funder negotiations and financial modelling throughout bid submission stage and moving towards financial close.
A separate team from Operis is also providing model audit services to the funders.
