The Building Schools for the Future (BSF) projects are focused on improving the performance and conditions of schools within the inner city areas of many UK cities.

Having assisted in closing Phases 1 and 2 of the Leeds BSF Project, which involved the building and maintenance of mainly secondary schools in the area, Operis have now been engaged for Phase 3.

The third phase of the project involves the design, construction, maintenance and operation of two new leisure centres and associated facilities that will replace two existing leisure centres at Armley and Morley.

The consortium undertaking this £29 million project is made up of Barclays and Interserve Investments Limited. Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) will be providing the senior debt for the project.

Phase 3 successfully reached financial close on 7 August 2008. Operis provided financial model due diligence, delivering an opinion to the consortium, SMBC and Leeds City Council.
