This £45m PFI project comprises the construction and operation of the Voyager School in Walton, and extensions to the Jack Hunt School in Netherton and the Ken Stimpson School in Werrington.
The consortium sponsor was Investors in the Community (IIC Bouygues/ Mill Group). Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) provided the debt for the 30-year secondary school project.
Bouygues, the construction firm, began their work in March 2006 through an ‘early works agreement’, in order for the buildings to be available for the September 2007 school term.
Operis were engaged to provide financial model due diligence leading to financial close.
