Operis has performed a model audit for the Otter Creek Wind Farm project, located in the northwestern area of the municipality of Chatham-Kent in Ontario. The 50MW wind power project is being developed by Otter Creek Wind Farm LP, a partnership between Boralex and RES Canada, and has been selected by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) as part of the Government of Ontario’s plan to integrate more renewable energy into Ontario’s power grid. Construction of the wind farm is expected to be completed in October 2019.
Otter Creek wind farm is one of the 16 projects chosen by IESO as part of its Large Renewable Procurement (LRP) process, which began in early 2014. IESO requires a fully audited financial model for each project as part of the Key Development Milestones guidelines prior to PPA signing ahead of commencement of operations.
