Operis provided due diligence advice to funders Barclays, Barclays Private Equity and Hochtief PPP Solutions on the Cork School of Music PPP project, which closed on 4 September 2005. This project was originally bid by Jarvis and was acquired at preferred contractor stage by Hochtief following the successful outcome of a review by the concessionaire, the Department of Education and Science in Dublin. Capex for the project is €68.3 million. David Wylde Project Finance financially advised the consortium.
Construction work to be carried out by John Sisk & Son has already begun and the new school is due to open in mid-2007.
