Operis assisted the Staffordshire Campus Living consortium with the University of Staffordshire Student Village by providing a formal model audit prior to reaching financial close in July 2024. The investing parties of the consortium included HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions (UK) & (Irl) Ltd, Plenary Group and Staffordshire University.
This project, aimed at enhancing student living experiences, represents a significant investment in the future of Staffordshire University’s Stoke-on-Trent campus. It involves the design, construction, and operation of a new 700-room student village, along with the refurbishment of the existing Clarice Cliff Court accommodation, which previously housed nearly 300 students.
An official groundbreaking ceremony has already occurred and the project aims to complete construction in 2026. The £100 million project is funded by Aviva through a lease and leaseback structure.
Operis is pleased to have continued it’s track record working in the university student accommodation sector by providing support for this project and extends our congratulations to all parties involved in successfully reaching financial close, particularly to Plenary, as this marks its first UK-based project.
