Operis is pleased to have supported Meridiam in the financial close of the Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC) project, a GBP 120 million initiative under Wales’ Mutual Investment Model (MIM). The project is part of the broader GBP 500 million Welsh education programme aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure.
The project is financed by Aviva Investors, marking their continued investment in Welsh infrastructure and sustainability-focused projects.
Developed through the Welsh Education Partnership Company (WEPCo), the project includes two campuses: the Barry Waterfront Campus and the Advanced Technology Centre near Cardiff Airport. Targeting net zero carbon in operations, these campuses will provide modern educational facilities for nearly 2,900 students annually.
Operis conducted a comprehensive financial model audit to ensure the accuracy and robustness of the financial structure supporting this project.
We congratulate Meridiam, Cardiff and Vale College, Aviva Investors, WEPCo, and all stakeholders involved in delivering this transformative project for education in Wales.
