Operis was pleased to provide a high-level review for Axium Infrastructure in support of its acquisition of the remaining 50% equity from Osaka Gas Co, making Axium the sole owner of these nine solar facilities in Ontario. This is in continuation of a formal model audit Operis completed in February 2019, where Axium purchased the initial 50% of the asset from Mitsubishi Corp.
The Aurora Solar portfolio is composed of nine operational solar installations, Smith Falls 1-6 and Waubaushene 3-5, that can produce a total capacity of 101 MWdc, powering over 12,000 homes in Ontario. Electricity from these sites is provided to the Ontario Independent Electricity Supply Operator, under feed-in-tariffs with a remaining life of around 13 years.
