Operis has completed a full model audit of the financial model for AMP Capital in support of its acquisition of VX Fiber, a Swedish fibre broadband company. Infrastructure fund manager AMP Capital agreed to buy a majority stake in VX Fiber from Swedish investment firm Fort Knox Förvarinig in September 2020.
VX Fiber designs, builds and operates fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) open access networks. FTTP, commonly known as Ultra-Fast Broadband, provides increased download speeds and a more reliable internet connection for its users. VX Fiber is active in the UK, Belgium and South Africa, with more projects planned to be rolled out across the UK, Belgium, Austria and Germany.
Darryl Ooi, Associate Director at Operis, adds, “We’ve worked on a number of fibre deals over the recent months, and are pleased to have been able to support AMP Capital in this growing sector.”
