Operis is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted for three 2021 IJGlobal Awards. Operis has been shortlisted for both Model Auditor and Financial Advisor of the year in the Europe and Africa category and Model Auditor in the Middle East and Northern Africa category.
The IJGlobal Awards recognise achievements on deals across the infrastructure and energy sectors in all regions around the world.
The Firm has its origins as a specialist in the financial modelling of project finance transactions. That expertise remains a distinctive strength. Over time, Operis’s activities have widened to cover a complete portfolio of project finance-related services, including financial advice, model audit, financial modelling training and financial modelling software.
Whilst 2021 continued to be a challenging and uncertain year, Operis supported over 100 transactions with its model auditing services. Continuing to expand its portfolio of clients within Europe, Operis also cemented relationships with key clients in the Middle East and Africa, winning a number of mandates in that region. Overall, Operis has worked on a healthy mixture of public-private partnerships, renewable transactions, digital infrastructure and student accommodation across primary and secondary markets.
Last year Operis worked on a variety of Advisory projects across the globe, helped by the expansion of the advisory team in North America. It cemented its position as the market-leading buy-side financial advisor in UK student accommodation with the appointment in February of our client, Equans/Equitix, as preferred bidder on the University of Birmingham’s Pritchatts Park redevelopment. The project closed later in the year, as did the University of Essex Phase 3 scheme with Bouygues/Equitix. Operis arranged the debt on both projects, demonstrating its understanding of the market and strong relationship with institutional debt investors.
While the firm continues in its existing core infrastructure and PPP strongholds, its work in the renewable energy and digital infrastructure sectors has expanded with financial advisory mandates secured in solar, wind, waste to energy and fibre transactions.
The Operis team is always happy to discuss any new projects and how we might be able to assist with them. So please do get in touch with us here to set up a meeting.
