Skanska Infrastructure Development has submitted its bid for the Bradford and Calderdale Waste PFI Project.
The project involves a construction of a disposal and treatment facility which will sort around 200,000 tonnes of waste each year. It will provide facilities to handle the reception, storage and treatment of municipal waste arising from the two districts in order to reduce their reliance on landfill. The construction is scheduled to start on 28 March 2012 and will last for 4 years. The facility is to be operated for 25 years.
Operis provided the financial model auditing services including a tax and accounting review on behalf of Skanska and the Bradford and Calderdale councils.
