Pennant-Walters’ Pant-y-Wal wind farm project reached financial close on 20 October 2011.

The development of the Pant-y-wal site in Wales, involves the operation and maintenance of a wind farm of 14 turbines, with a total capacity of 35 MW.  Delivery of turbines is scheduled for August 2012 with construction due to be complete by around March 2013.  The wind farm will then operate for a twenty five year period.

Senior debt financing is being provided by Lloyds.

Pennant-Walters is a Wales-based renewable energy development company, and Operis has worked previously with them on the Maesgwyn wind farm project (also in Wales), which closed in October 2009.  On this occasion Operis performed an audit of the financial model provided by KPMG for the project, which included a review of the tax and accounting treatment.
