The E18 motorway project closed on the 23rd June 2006 in Oslo.
The project, also known as the Grimstad-Kristiansand DBFO project, involves the construction of a 38km four-lane highway in Norway to improve major internal links between cities in the region. This is a project worth £300m and consequently one of the largest PFI projects undertaken in Norway in recent years. Construction is expected to finish in summer 2009.
Senior debt was provided by EIB and NIB amongst others and was wrapped by XL Capital.
Operis provided financial model due diligence, along with tax and accounting advice on the project.
