Operis has successfully completed a full review of the financial model for the Risti 244 MW Solar Park, set to become the largest solar installation in the Baltics.
Located in Lääne County, Estonia, the Risti Solar Park is being developed by Sunly and Metsagrupp. Construction began in 2024, with commercial operations expected by 2026. Upon completion, the park will feature nearly 350,000 solar panels, enough to power approximately 55,000 households annually.
Operis was engaged to audit the financial model, by verifying assumptions, examining calculations, and validating projected returns. The audit provided stakeholders with confidence in the project’s financial health, and was a crucial step in securing €62m of funding from EIB, SEB, and Luminor.
This project will advance Estonia’s energy independence, with the ability to cover approximately 7% of total energy consumption, and supports the government’s 2050 goal of climate neutrality. In the future, the developers plan to expand the site into a hybrid energy park, integrating wind turbines and energy storage solutions.
The audit reinforces Operis’s commitment to ensuring financial integrity and transparency in large-scale renewable energy projects, and Operis offers its congratulations to the Sunly team.
