The Uliving consortium of Bouygues, Derwent Housing Association and Equitix today submitted its final bid for the East Slopes Residences project at the University of Sussex in Brighton, England.

The project involves the development of around 2,000 new student bedrooms on the East Slope site at the University’s campus at Falmer, with occupancy risk for the new accommodation being transferred to the developer.

In its role as financial advisor to Uliving, Operis advised the consortium in developing the financial structure of the project and attracting interest from potential providers of senior debt financing.

Uliving is competing with two other bidders for the concession, with a preferred bidder expected to be announced before the end of 2014.
