Operis, a leading advisor in project and infrastructure finance, has appointed Carmen Wade as its new Head of North America and lead advisory director for that region. Carmen will start on 10 May 2021.
Carmen joins from Deloitte where she started her career and became a Partner in 2015. During her time at Deloitte, she advised globally on many infrastructure and P3 projects, including the high profile cross-border Gordie Howe International Bridge project. She brings a unique level of experience in facilitating complex multi-stakeholder public/private sector partnerships.
Carmen said: “I am excited to be pursuing my next career chapter with Operis and replicating here in North America the tremendous impact they have had in the European market. I am looking forward to working with the highly talented and entrepreneurial advisory team, and being supported by the huge world leading modelling team.
This is an exciting time to work in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Investment in these sectors will undoubtedly be a key part of North American economic recovery. Infrastructure has a key role to play in climate change policies, and there are new and innovative ways for the public and private sectors to collaborate in building and growing sustainable communities, countries and global prosperity.”
Erwan Fournis, Operis Global Head of Advisory, said: “We are delighted to welcome Carmen to lead our office in North America. In addition to her vast Canadian advisory experience, she brings a wealth of business development skills and strong expertise in emerging markets. We look forward to seeing her add to our growing advisory franchise in the North American market, which is of high strategic importance for Operis”.
