The N18 Groenlo-Enschede PPP project in the Netherlands successfully reached financial close on Thursday 19th May.
The consortium, comprised of VolkerWessels and DIF, won the 25-year contract to design, build, finance and maintain the road in March 2016.
The concession involves expanding 20km of road between Groenlo and Haaksbergen from two lanes to three, and also building 7km of dual carriageway between Haaksbergen and Enschede.
