The Mental Health Centre Penetanguishene reached financial close on 28 January 2011.
The 312 bed psychiatric hospital is located on Georgian Bay in the Town of Penetanguishene. The hospital is recognised for the provision of exceptional care to those most needing mental health services and for its contributions to the understanding of mental illness. This new hospital will replace the existing 160-bed Oak Ridge Facility and the 20-bed Brebeuf Facility, and it will consolidate into a more efficient and integrated complex.
Integrated Team Solutions Partnership, a consortium comprising EllisDon and Fengate, was awarded the contract to design, build, finance and maintain the new forensic hospital.
The private placement bond has been issued by Sun Life and Canada Life, the short term bank debt was provided by the Toronto-Dominion Bank and the National Bank of Canada.
