Operis is pleased to have supported Purple Line Transit Partners in reaching financial close for the Maryland Purple Line light rail transit project. The project reached financial close on 14 April 2022.
The project, with investments totalling more than US$2.5 billion, will now resume full-scale construction and is scheduled to begin carrying passengers in 2026. The light rail transit line will run for 16.2 miles, connecting Montgomery County to Prince George’s County in Maryland.
By providing a formal model audit for this project, Operis continues its involvement in North American transportation projects, having recently audited both the bid stage and financial close model for the 495 Express Lanes Northern Extension in Virginia.
