On December 2, 2019, a consortium consisting of Macquarie Capital, Siemens, Count & Cooper, FCC and Allen & Overy reached financial close on the A9 Amstelveen Motorway PPP in The Netherlands.
The project involves the design, build, finance and maintenance of an expansion of the A9 motorway from three to four lanes over a length of 10.5 km between the Badhoevedorp and Holendrecht junctions in Amstelveen, Netherlands. This comes as part of the Schiphol – Amsterdam – Almere road widening project currently being undertaken by the Rijkswaterstaat in order to improve traffic flow in these areas.
Operis provided a full model audit for this project, including a review of the model’s tax and accounting treatments, at both bid submission and financial close stages.
