LAX Integrated Express Solutions or LINXS, comprised of Fluor, Balfour Beatty, ACS, Hochtief and Bombardier recently reached financial close for the LAX Automated People Mover project.
The 30-year design-build-finance-operate-maintain project is one component of a $5.5bn Landside Access Modernization Program, which is designed to reduce traffic at Los Angeles International Airport. It will add an elevated train into the Central Terminal Area that connects to Los Angeles Metro’s light rail system, a consolidated rental car facility and additional parking structures with new areas for picking up and dropping off passengers.
On behalf of the LINXS consortium, Operis was pleased to perform an audit of the financial model which included a review of the tax and accounting treatments of the model.
