Infracapital have launched Bioenergy Infrastructure Group (BIG), a platform established to invest in the construction of biomass and Energy from Waste (EfW) plants across the UK on October 6, 2015.
Infracapital has committed 70% stake in the new BIG platform, with the remaining investment coming from Helios, Aurium and Foresight. BIG will also be involved in the construction of a 21.5MW EfW plant at Ince Park in Cheshire, which will provide electricity to up to 40,000 homes.
Operis was pleased to provide an audit of the financial model used to structure the distribution of the various EfW plants between the investors and sponsors which included a review of the model’s tax and accounting treatments.
