Bids for the Highway 401 Rail Tunnel project, a part of Regional Express Rail programme, were submitted on July 20, 2017. This P3 project involves the construction of a second tunnel under Highway 401/409 in Ontario, Canada, to accommodate two additional tracks and other signalling and communications infrastructure.
Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx previously issued a Request for Proposals to the three shortlisted teams to design, build, and finance the project which is expected to reach financial close in December 2017.
Operis was pleased to work with the Kiewit led consortium to undertake a model audit at bid submission, which also included the review of model’s tax and accounting treatments.
