On October 11, 2019, a consortium consisting of YIT Corporation and Meridiam Investments submitted their bid to the City of Espoo for the design, build, financing and maintenance of five schools and three daycare centres in the city of Espoo, Finland. Several weeks later, it was announced that the consortium was the successful bidder.
This project is Finland’s first Public-Private Partnership involving social infrastructure, and is part of Espoo’s investment programme called “Schools in Shape”. This project intends to improve the learning environment for pupils and teachers, whilst ensuring a high level of air quality for those on the site.
Operis was pleased to provide a full model audit and tax and accounting review for this project at bid submission and will work with them heading toward financial close.
