Equitix and Balfour Beatty recently refinanced £45m worth of debt relating to a street lighting PFI in Coventry, with the debt being provided by NordLB.
The Coventry street lighting project, which has been running since 2010, involves the replacement of 28,700 street lights as well as 5,400 bollards and traffic signs.
Coventry City Council had an overall saving of £1.8 as a result of the refinancing.
