Fengate Capital Management reached financial close on the Merritt Green Energy Project in British Columbia, Canada on July 8, 2014.
C$180 million was raised from a wide range of international banks and institutional investors for the 36MW bioenergy plant. An innovative feature of this project is the fuel source, which will be sourced from a combination of road side debris and local saw mill waste. Construction will begin soon.
