Marks Barfield, the architects behind the London Eye, have successfully reached financial close for Brighton’s i360 tower project on June 19, 2014.
The 175 meter high observation tower on Brighton’s seafront will have a moving platform that can hold up to 200 visitors per 20 minute ride, along with a shop and restaurant at the base of the tower.
£36.2 million of senior debt will be provided by the Brighton and Hove City Council, alongside £10 million of mezzanine debt and equity, to finance the construction costs. The construction is planned to be completed by June 2016 with a public opening shortly after.
In support of Marks Barfield, Operis were pleased to complete out a financial model audit and a full accounting review.
