The Integrated Bradford consortium successfully reached financial close on 1st September, 2009, for the second phase of the Bradford County Building Schools for the Future (BSF) Scheme. Integrated Bradford is a consortium partnered by Amey Ventures, Costain, Ferrovial-Agroman, Sun Microsystems and HSBC Infrastructure.
The £173m project, authorised by the Bradford Metropolitan District Council, consists of rebuilding new schools for Grange Technology College, Beckfoot School, Hanson and Greenhead School, with new secondary special schools also to be built.
Nationwide, Helaba and SMBC will jointly provide an £85m debt facility of 25 years, while EIB will also lend £84m. The sponsors will provide £21m of subordinated debt.
The sponsors were advised by PricewaterhouseCoopers, while Operis conducted full financial modelling due diligence, which included supervising the financial model at financial close.
