Operis recently completed a model audit of Balfour Beatty’s operating model for the Blackburn with Darwen & Bolton Phase 2 Building Schools for the Future PFI project.
The project involves the building of two schools in Blackburn. One of the buildings is a new site for Witton High School, the other is a new school, called Blackburn Central High School, which is an amalgamation of three existing schools. Both buildings will open their doors to pupils for the first time this month.
Financing for the project was provided by Dexia and Nord LB.
This project reached financial close in September 2010 and Operis also audited the financial model at this earlier stage. This audit is part of a series of operating model audits that Operis has been working on with Balfour Beatty.
