Bids for the City of Winnipeg’s Southwest Rapid Transitway Stage 2 project were submitted on 24th March 2016 by three consortia.
The project, procured by the City of Winnipeg, comprises a 7.6km extension of the rapid transit line between Pembina Highway and Jubilee Avenue to the University of Manitoba, a relocation of a sewer pipe and widening of the Pembina highway and overpass. Construction will take around 3 and a half years, with scheduled completion for the end of 2019.
