TramTeam, a consortium comprising Strukton Integral Projects, Ballast Nedam Concessions and John Laing Investments have submitted best and final offer for the RegioTram Groningen Project in the Netherlands.

RegioTram Groningen is the proposed new tram network in the Dutch city of Groningen which is intended to alleviate congestion in the city centre and improve the accessibility of the region in a sustainable way. Two tramlines will be constructed: one will travel north-west from Groningen’s central railway station to the Zernike university complex; the other will travel north-east from the central station towards the Kardinge recreation area.

The 25-year project is estimated to require capital expenditure of EUR300m and is being procured jointly by the municipality of Groningen, the Groningen–Assen Region and the provincial government of Groningen under a DBFMO scheme.

Operis provided financial model auditing services including a tax and accounting review to the TramTeam consortium.
