Bids have been submitted for the Maryland Purple Line project in Washington DC on December 8, 2015.
The project involves the development of a 16-mile light rail line in Maryland that will extend from Bethesda in Montgomery County to New Carrollton in Prince George’s County, under a design, build, finance, operate and maintenance contract.
With a total of twenty-one planned stations, the Purple Line will predominantly operate in dedicated or exclusive lanes, allowing for fast, reliable transit operations.
In support of the Maryland Transit Connectors consortium’s bid, comprising John Laing and Kiewit, Operis was pleased to undertake an audit of the financial model representing the transaction which included a review of the model’s tax and accounting treatments.
