The consortium comprising Gracorp and Balfour Beatty submitted their bid for the Saskatchewan Joint Use Schools Project in Canada on May 21, 2015.
The project involves the design, build, finance and operation of nine joint use schools in two bundles. The first bundle consists of three schools in Regina whilst the remaining six schools will be built in Martensville (one school), Saskatoon (four schools) and Warman (one school).
With plans to be operational by July 2017, this P3 project will help the Government of Saskatchewan meet the reported 70% increase in student enrollment over the last six years.
The preferred bidder announcement is due at the end of June 2015 with Financial Close scheduled for approximately August, 2015.
In support of the consortium’s bid, Operis was delighted to undertake a full model audit, including a review of the model’s tax and accounting.
